Rich blues, warm wood tones, beautiful natural stone, and thoughtfully layered details come together in this classic-meets-contemporary home.

There's something special about a home that feels both timeless and entirely its own. A place where classic architectural details meet fresh design choices, where every room has a little personality, and where beauty and everyday living go hand in hand.

That's exactly what we love about The Preserve Project, one of our latest residential interior design projects in the Denver area.

Throughout this beautiful home, we embraced a thoughtful mix of traditional and contemporary elements, pairing rich colors with soft neutrals, natural materials, and carefully considered finishing touches. The result is a home that feels sophisticated without being overly formal, comfortable without sacrificing style, and full of character from one room to the next.

Come on in! We're giving you a closer look at some of our favorite spaces and design details from The Preserve Project.

A Bright, Beautiful Kitchen Made for Everyday Living

At the heart of The Preserve Project is a kitchen that brings together classic charm and contemporary functionality.

Soft white cabinetry creates a bright, timeless foundation, while a contrasting dark wood island adds warmth and visual interest. Beautiful stone countertops, subtle patterned backsplash tile, and a pair of globe pendant lights introduce layers of texture and shape without competing for attention.

We love the balance of materials throughout this space. The natural wood tones soften the lighter finishes, while the cabinetry details and architectural elements give the kitchen a collected, enduring feel.

A generous island provides a natural gathering spot, complete with comfortable seating for everything from a quick morning coffee to conversations while dinner is being prepared.

And just beyond the kitchen, a darker adjoining space adds a little extra contrast and personality to the overall design.

The result is a kitchen that feels polished but approachable—a beautiful backdrop for all the everyday moments that happen at home.

A Dining Space Designed for Gathering

The dining spaces throughout The Preserve Project bring a sense of warmth and understated elegance to the home.

In the more formal dining room, deep blue walls create a rich, intimate atmosphere, beautifully balanced by crisp white wainscoting and trim. A dark wood dining table anchors the space, while upholstered chairs, softly patterned textiles, and carefully selected lighting add comfort and refinement.

An arched opening with warm wood shelving provides a charming architectural detail and a natural place to display glassware and decorative accessories.

It's a space that feels sophisticated enough for a special occasion but welcoming enough to enjoy more often.

In the adjacent casual dining area, the palette becomes lighter and more relaxed. A warm wood table, dark dining chairs, soft window treatments, and sculptural lighting create an easy connection to the nearby living room.

Large windows invite in natural light, while exposed wood beams and the surrounding architectural details add character.

Together, these spaces show how different rooms can serve different purposes while still feeling connected through a consistent approach to materials, color, and texture.

An Inviting Living Room with Warmth and Character

A beautiful living room should do more than look good. It should invite you to settle in, get comfortable, and stay awhile.

At The Preserve Project, the living room strikes that balance through a thoughtful combination of warm architectural details, soft upholstery, and inviting textures.

One of the standout features is the fireplace wall, where rich wood paneling adds warmth and a sense of architectural presence. The natural finish brings an organic element into the space, while the light stone fireplace surround creates a beautiful contrast.

A generously sized blue sectional introduces another layer of color and comfort, complemented by creamy upholstered chairs, patterned pillows, and understated accessories.

We especially love how the furnishings balance the more traditional elements of the home with clean, contemporary silhouettes. The space feels layered and intentional without being overly styled.

With plenty of natural light and comfortable seating, it's a room designed for gathering, relaxing, and enjoying the everyday goodness of home.

A Home Office with Personality to Spare

If there's one room that proves a home office doesn't have to be boring, it's this one!

Wrapped in a beautiful blue botanical wallpaper, The Preserve Project's home office makes a statement while still feeling calm, collected, and inviting. The rich blue backdrop creates a cozy, almost cocoon-like atmosphere, while crisp white trim, built-in cabinetry, and plantation shutters bring brightness and architectural contrast to the space.

A warm wood desk anchors the room, complemented by upholstered seating, a sculptural chandelier, and thoughtfully styled accessories. The combination of traditional details and more contemporary furnishings gives the office a sense of balance, creating a space that feels equally suited for productive workdays and quieter moments of reflection.

We especially love how the wallpaper brings personality into the room without overwhelming it. It's a great reminder that even the most functional spaces in our homes deserve thoughtful design.

A Serene Primary Bedroom with Thoughtful Layers

When it comes to designing a primary bedroom, we believe the goal should always be to create a space that feels like a retreat from the busyness of everyday life.

The Preserve Project's primary bedroom does just that.

A deep blue-green upholstered bed creates a beautiful focal point against soft, creamy walls, introducing just enough color to make the space feel distinctive while maintaining an overall sense of calm.

Layered neutral bedding adds softness and texture, while dark wood nightstands, warm metallic sconces, and carefully selected artwork bring balance and visual interest.

A beautiful statement ceiling fixture adds a touch of sophistication without overwhelming the room, and the generous use of natural light keeps the space feeling airy and inviting.

We love how the bedroom feels both elevated and effortlessly comfortable. Every element has its place, but nothing feels overly precious.

It's the kind of space that encourages you to slow down, settle in, and enjoy a little peace and quiet.

A Primary Bathroom That Feels Like a Personal Retreat

And now, for one of our favorite spaces in the home: the primary bathroom!

Beautiful natural stone takes center stage in this light-filled retreat, creating a sense of luxury that's both timeless and approachable.

Softly veined marble surrounds the vanity and shower, bringing natural movement and texture into the space. Warm wood cabinetry provides a beautiful contrast to the lighter stone, while brass-toned fixtures and hardware introduce an understated touch of warmth.

The double vanity features classic detailing, framed mirrors, and elegant sconces, creating a polished yet welcoming atmosphere.

Across the room, a freestanding soaking tub sits near generous windows, offering a peaceful spot to unwind. Soft window treatments, natural greenery, and thoughtfully styled accessories help create a spa-like feeling without sacrificing the warmth of a lived-in home.

A spacious glass-enclosed shower completes the room, with complementary stone surfaces and carefully selected hardware tying the design together.

It's a beautiful example of how thoughtful material selections and small details can transform an everyday space into something truly special.

Bringing It All Together: Timeless Design with a Personal Touch

What makes The Preserve Project so special isn't any one room or design detail. It's the way all the spaces work together to create a home that feels collected, comfortable, and distinctly personal.

From the bold botanical wallpaper in the home office to the warm wood accents in the living room, the rich blues in the dining room, and the serene finishes in the primary suite, each space brings something unique to the overall design.

And while the rooms have their own personalities, there's a consistent thread throughout: classic details, thoughtful material selections, layered textures, and a careful balance of beauty and function.

For us, that's what great residential interior design is all about.

It's not simply choosing beautiful furnishings or finishes. It's understanding how a home should look, feel, and function for the people who live there—and thoughtfully bringing all those pieces together.

The Preserve Project is a wonderful reminder that timeless design doesn't have to feel predictable, and that a home can be both beautifully refined and genuinely welcoming.
