Recently, our team created two spring tablescapes in the studio, each with a slightly different approach. One leans playful and unexpected, while the other offers a more classic, understated take.
Both are designed to feel welcoming, effortless, and easy to recreate.
A Playful Spring Tablescape
For the first table, we decided to have a little fun.
This look embraces a more kitsch approach — incorporating elements that feel lighthearted, colorful, and just a bit unexpected. Radish vases, patterned napkins, woven textured placemats, and colorful glassware come together to create a table that feels fresh and full of personality.
The napkins were our starting point, bringing in pattern and color that guided the rest of the palette. From there, we layered simple pieces — woven placemats, everyday flatware, and light dishware — allowing the more playful details to stand out without overwhelming the table.
Small touches, like fresh greenery and simple florals, keep the look grounded. Even the more whimsical elements feel balanced when paired with natural textures and a restrained layout.
It’s a reminder that hosting doesn’t have to feel formal to feel beautiful. Sometimes, a little bit of playfulness is exactly what makes a gathering feel memorable.
A Classic, Layered Spring Table
For the second tablescape, we took a more refined approach.
This table leans into simplicity — soft florals, neutral layers, and a quieter palette that feels calm and timeless. A beautiful glass vase with fresh flowers anchors the center of the table, creating a focal point that feels both elegant and approachable.
The place settings are intentionally understated, allowing the materials and textures to do the work. Layered linens, subtle tones, and classic silhouettes create a setting that feels cohesive without feeling overly styled.
This is the kind of table that works for almost any occasion — from a casual brunch to a more intimate gathering — and can easily be adapted with what you already have at home.
