What We’re Loving This Fall | 2025 Interior Design Trends
As the summer heat fades and the cool, crisp Colorado air rolls in, fall is the perfect time to refresh your home and embrace the comfort and richness of the season.
Whether you’re planning a home renovation in the future, a cozy seasonal update, or finally taking the leap on building that dream home you've been thinking about since spring, these fall interior design trends will inspire you to elevate your home for the season ahead — and beyond.
Here’s what we’re seeing — and loving — this fall…
1. DEEP NEUTRALS ARE THE NEW BOLD
For those who love a neutral color palette, this season offers a deeper, more layered take on timeless tones. Think rich taupes, warm chocolate browns, muted olives, and stormy grays — all of which pair beautifully with soft whites and creamy beiges.
Layering neutral tones is especially effective in spaces like primary bedrooms, living rooms, and home offices. These tones not only ground a space, but they also create a calming, earthy foundation — a hallmark of the organic design aesthetic that continues to dominate in high-end homes across the south Denver suburbs.
2. TEXTURE IS EVERYTHING
Fall is all about creating warmth — and we’re leaning more into tactile textures like boucle, wool, mohair, natural stone, oak, limewash walls, and raw ceramic finishes. Layering texture is a simple yet powerful way to elevate a space without overwhelming it with color.
If you want to elevate the design style of your home, adding texture is a beautiful way to create interest while staying within a timeless versus trendy design approach. We’re loving the mix of chunky knit throws, natural wood tones, soft window treatments, and softly worn vintage rugs underfoot.
3. CURVES CONTINUE
Curved lines have been trending in interiors for the past few seasons, and they’re still going strong into fall this year. Arched doorways, rounded furniture edges, and sculptural lighting all soften the edges of a room and make a space feel more inviting.
In our custom homes and renovation projects, we love incorporating curved elements to contrast more traditional architectural details. The mix of modern curves and classic materials feels just right in transitional design schemes — especially in larger family homes looking for a more intimate feel.
4. WARM WOOD IS HAVING A MOMENT
After years of cool-toned grays and stark white finishes, we’re welcoming back warm wood tones in a big way. Medium to dark woods like walnut, oak, and mahogany are showing up in everything from millwork to custom furniture and cabinetry.
This shift is especially welcome with the change of season here in Colorado, where the natural beauty of the outdoors often inspires interior choices. Wood tones connect seamlessly with earthy design principles and add an organic richness that balances out contemporary lines or monochromatic color schemes.
5. SOPHISTICATED SEASONAL STYLING
Seasonal decor is becoming more refined and subtle. Instead of leaning into bold fall-themed color palettes and motifs, this year we’re choosing more intentional styling moments that nod to the season — think soft throws in burnt caramel, oversized branches in a ceramic vase, or a tonal mix of harvest-inspired tableware.
This less-is-more approach complements a sophisticated interior aesthetic, especially for families who value thoughtful design without clutter in theirs homes.
